England Powerchair Team reach World Final  

The England Powerchair football team are celebrating after finishing as runners-up at the World Championship in Paris last weekend.

A grant of £25,000 from The FA helped fund the team's trip to France for the biggest event in Powerchair football and England made it all the way through to the final where they were beaten 3-0 by reigning champions USA on Sunday.

The FA’s Head of Disability, Jeff Davis, commented: "It's a fantastic achievement as we finished seventh at the tournament in 2007 so this set of players can be really pleased with their performance."
